The sky is burning gold at the setting of the sun
Fishing boats returning to the bay
Turning to the harbour now the working day is done
The sun reflecting brightly on the waves
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay

There's a dolphin playing hide and seek as the pleasure craft move in
Everyone is smiling 'cos he's here
Suddenly appearing as the children call his name
Faithfully returning every year
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay

When the sun is going down and the colours start to fade
I may be many miles away
But I can close my eyes and remember yesterday
And listen as the waters seem to say
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay

There beneath the blanket of a million shining stars
We can sleep the quiet night away
And waken with the morning sun to welcome the new day
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay
Welcome home again, Dingle Bay

Song Info
In the summer of 2003 we spent a beautiful week in Southern Ireland, staying in Dingle. The location was perfect - a beautiful house set almost on the water's edge. It was a beautiful spot to sit on the lawn and sing as we watched the golden sunlight dancing on the evening waves.

Thanks to Maggie at Emlagh Lodge for making us so welcome - this song (along with 'Don't Think Twice') is for you.

Dingle Bay'
